entering new territory

The collection "entering new territory" reflects a time of discovery for me - new experiences, new thoughts, and new steps forward into an unknown world. It felt positive and light. I went back to working with plaster as I wanted to have more freedom with size and scope. This series is made from an unusual yellow plaster most commonly used in dentistry. It is much harder than normal plaster, which enabled me to create bigger yet lighter sculptures.
